How We Fund Our Mission

At STEAM NHS, we’re committed to making research, innovation, and leadership opportunities accessible to all students, regardless of income or background. To sustain and grow our programs, we rely on a diverse fundraising approach that reflects our values of equity, collaboration, and community impact.

Our funding comes from a mix of:

🟣 Chapter Fees – Each school provides a fee based on the size of their STEAM NHS chapter (number of students). We depend on these fees for sustainability of the program. For more information go to: https://www.steamnhs.org/why-join/

🟣 Grants – We pursue grants from foundations, corporations, and government programs that support youth education, STEM, equity, and civic engagement.

🟣 Online Giving – Through individual donations and monthly giving programs like Support a Scholar, we invite families, alumni, and community members to directly support student success. Donate.

🟣 Community Events – From student-led dinners raising awareness about food insecurity to our Innovation Showcase, our events bring people together while raising critical funds.

🟣 Corporate Sponsorships – We partner with local businesses and STEM employers who believe in building the next generation of leaders.

🟣 Merch & School Fundraisers – Branded items and optional school-based fundraising kits help raise both funds and awareness.

🟣 Alumni & Family Giving Circle – Past participants and their families often give back to ensure others have the same life-changing opportunities.

Together, these efforts allow us to keep our programs free or low-cost for schools and students to ensure every young scholar has the chance to lead, learn, and give back.
