NHSTEAM recognizes that many groups are underrepresented in STEAM professions, and NHSTEAM supports diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice to all of its participants by all of the following:
Recruiting schools with underrepresented students.
Allowing any type of student to apply to become a member, and allowing students to appeal to the board in case of an unfair denial into the club.
Disapproving of any injustice and unfair discrimination.
Encouraging schools of any economic background to join and providing accommodations to schools that need it.
