NHSTEAM recognizes that many groups are underrepresented in STEAM professions, and NHSTEAM supports diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice to all of its participants by all of the following:

• Recruiting schools with underrepresented students.
• Allowing any type of student to apply to become a member, and allowing students to appeal to the board in case of an unfair denial into the club.
• Disapproving of any injustice and unfair discrimination.
• Encouraging schools of any economic background to join and providing accommodations to schools that need it.
